MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. PRINCIPAL TERMS

1.1. This Agreement begins when you accept these terms and conditions as part of the online sign-up process.

1.2. You may delay the start of your membership by up to one month. If you wish to begin sooner, please contact us at info@ftylab.com to discuss your options.

​

1.3. This agreement becomes binding when you receive a confirmation email from us.

​

1.4. You will have access to all rights and privileges associated with your chosen membership type.

​

2. DIRECT DEBIT FEES AND CHARGES

2.1. The Joining Fee (if applicable) and the first month's membership fee are payable at the time of purchase, either by Debit/Credit card or Direct Debit within approximately five working days of your application.

​

2.2. Joining Fees cover initial administration costs and include an induction session bookable online.

2.3. Upgrading your membership may incur an additional administration fee.

​

2.4. Your second Direct Debit payment will be collected one month after you join. Subsequent payments will be collected monthly thereafter.

​

2.5. All payments are non-refundable.

​

2.6. If any Direct Debit payment is returned unpaid, or any other payment method is declined, we may charge a £20 administration fee. If further payments are missed after notification, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership, with prior notice via email or post. The administration fee may be reduced if the outstanding amount is paid online within seven days.

2.7. You must inform us immediately of any changes to your membership details.

​

2.8. Membership can be frozen for up to three months, after which it will automatically resume at the standard monthly rate. Freezes apply only to monthly memberships and must be requested at least five working days before your payment date. A full 12 months of payments is required to complete the contract period.

3. DIRECT DEBIT PRICES

3.1. We may periodically increase membership fees. You will receive at least one month’s notice before any price increase takes effect, along with details of the new rate. During this notice period, you may cancel your membership in accordance with these terms.

​

3.2. If you do not cancel by the specified date, your membership fee will increase as outlined in the notice.

​

4. TERMINATION

4.1. Extraordinary Circumstances for Termination:

• Medical Grounds: If you are unable to train for more than three months due to a terminal illness or major injury, you may cancel your membership upon providing medical proof.

• Relocation: If you permanently relocate more than 10 miles away from an FTYLab facility, you may terminate your contract.

• Breach by Us: If we fail to meet the terms of this agreement, including providing the expected facilities or services, you may cancel your membership.​

5. MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE

5.1. In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation, and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you may cancel your membership and receive a full refund within 14 days of your application.

​

5.2. If you begin your membership immediately or request an early start, and then cancel within the 14-day period, your refund will be adjusted to reflect the membership usage from the first day after joining.

​

6. GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

6.1. Members under 16 years old must have parental or guardian permission.

​

6.2. You agree to follow the Membership Rules, which are prominently displayed in the centre and cover opening hours, facility usage, and conduct. We may reasonably update these rules with advance notice.

​

6.3. If we choose not to enforce any breach of this agreement or give you extra time to comply, it does not prevent us from enforcing the terms strictly at a later date.

​

6.4. We may assign this agreement and our rights to a third party, with notice to you. Your rights under this agreement will not be affected.

​

6.5. We may occasionally need to close part or all of the gym. We will notify you in advance, except in urgent or emergency situations. Closures will be kept to a minimum and scheduled outside peak hours whenever possible. No refunds will be provided for such closures.

​

6.6. We are not liable for any failure or delay in fulfilling our obligations due to events beyond our control.

​

6.7. We are not responsible for payments made directly to third-party coaches. These arrangements are between you and the coach.

​

6.8. As a consumer, you have legal rights regarding services not provided with reasonable skill and care, or if the materials used are faulty or misrepresented. These terms do not affect your legal rights.

​

6.9. This agreement is governed by English law.

​

6.10. We may terminate this agreement immediately if you breach the centre rules.

​

6.11. You confirm that, to the best of your knowledge, you are in good health and capable of engaging in exercise without risk to your health, safety, or well-being. You agree to notify us immediately if your circumstances change.

9. PROMOTION TERMS

9.1. FTYLab Ltd reserves the right to end any promotion without notice.

​

9.2. Prizes must be claimed within 21 days of the winner’s announcement. FTYLab has 45 days to issue any prize.

10. NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL

At FTY Lab we are committed to maintaining a safe, family-friendly environment for all our participants, staff, and visitors. To ensure a positive and healthy experience, we strictly enforce a zero-tolerance policy on drugs and alcohol within our premises.

10.1. Drugs Prohibited: The possession, use, or consumption of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited on the premises, including all playing areas, changing rooms, and spectator zones.

10.2. Alcohol Restrictions: Alcohol may only be purchased from our licenced bars and consumed in the designated areas. It must not be taken out of these areas under any circumstances.

10.3. Immediate Action: Any individual found in violation of this policy, including using drugs or taking alcohol outside designated areas, will be removed from the premises immediately.​

10.4. Safety First: If necessary, staff may contact the relevant authorities to ensure the safety of all participants.

​

10.5. Permanent Ban: Repeated violations of this policy may result in a permanent ban from the centre.

 

10.6. Alcohol Limits: If any individual is visibly intoxicated or over the limit to the point where they become disruptive, unsafe, or a threat to others, they will be removed from the premises.

We kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to this policy. Violating these guidelines will lead to immediate removal from the facility, and further actions may be taken if required.​
